Corrections Policy

How to report an error, how a report is reviewed, and how a correction appears on the page.

Reporting an error

Email contact@websitesolutions.us with "Correction" in the subject line.

What helps

  • The address of the page.
  • The exact statement you believe is wrong.
  • What you believe is correct, and how you know: a link to the provider's own page or another primary source is the most useful thing you can send.
  • When you saw it, if the page may have changed since.

Please do not send passwords, account details, contracts containing personal information, or anything else sensitive. A public source is enough.

How reports are reviewed

The editor reviews every report and checks the claim against the best available evidence, using a primary source when one exists. A report is not accepted or rejected because of who sent it: a provider, a customer and a reader are held to the same evidence.

How corrections appear

A material error, one that could change a reader's decision, is corrected and the page carries a dated note saying what changed. Minor fixes, such as a typo or a broken link, are made without a note. Price and plan updates found during routine rechecks are recorded through the site's normal evidence process.

What a correction is not

The site does not remove or soften accurate information because someone objects to it. A correction requires evidence that the page is inaccurate or materially incomplete. Privacy, legal and other requests that are not correction requests are considered separately on their own facts.

Records

Correction decisions and the public record of corrections are kept as part of the site's editorial history. How correspondence is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
